As a tool for conversation about authenticity, gender equality and women’s rights
women, rock n’roll talks to Giovanna Moraes through its boldness and, in the case of music “The Minas in Power”with the clear message of fighting all prejudices.
The purpose is to create a revolution of authenticity, to ask questions about our society
and their prejudices, welcoming and motivating people to have the courage to use their voice and be
exactly who they are, regardless of the expectations and judgments of others.
“The response I get to my content on social media reveals how strong machismo still
It is. We sometimes forget within the safety of our bubble, but there are hundreds of comments
saying that I need to put on lipstick, wash dishes, or take a beating simply because I’m not
performing femininity in the way they think is right.” explains Giovanna.

experimental, but his official entry into the world of rock was in 2022, with the album To Take
Courage. Before “The Mines in Power”the singer released “Talk to the Face,” the first single
from the next album Chata’s famewhich reached more than 8 million views on social media.
