The singer and composer Carlos Lyra, icon of bossa nova, died at the age of 90, this Saturday, 16. Hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the Unimed Barra hospital, in Rio de Janeiro, he died due to septicemia. OR Estadao confirmed the information with the artist’s producer.
In over 70 years of career, Lyra has been a partner of Vinícius de Moraes, Ronaldo Bôscoli and other artists. Her first song was Quando Chegares, from 1954.
