Roger Moreira, singer of the group Ultraje a Rigor, has signed an agreement with the Prosecutor’s Office for Children and Youth of São Paulo in an action motivated by controversial comments about an 11-year-old girl, a victim of rape.
The case came to light in September 2022, when Roger criticized Teresina’s girlfriend, insinuating on Twitter that she could have avoided violence and suggesting the use of a condom. “Now see if you stop joking. Or at least she uses a condom, damn it”, declared the artist then, reacting to the news that she had been raped for the second time. After criticism, she justified her words by saying that she was “joking about the misfortune of others” and said that she refused to be “led by the left”.
Under the guidance of the Public Prosecutor, he will now have to publish two series of posts on social networks, for a total of 14 publications, in addition to paying R$60,000, a sum foreseen as a fine, which will be allocated to the Municipal Fund for Children’s Rights and childhood. Teenagers.
According to the Conduct Adjustment Term (TAC), the content of the publications will address topics such as encouraging reporting of sexual violence against minors, the signals presented by victims of these crimes and progress in relevant legislation. Furthermore, Roger must publish a link to the Operational Guide for combating sexual violence against children and adolescents, prepared by the NAT (Psychosocial Technical Advisory Centre), on the vulnerability of children and adolescents in abusive situations.
