December’s Modern Playlist presents the 50 most recent clips with almost 3 and a half hours of continuous music, in a selection that descends into the basement of the underground. Coldwave, darkwave and gothic set the dark tone for this party, which also dances with electronic variations of EBM, trip hop, techno and house, and takes to the guitars in the final stretch with Britpop and shoegaze.
The collection of clips features the French duo Potochkine, who will perform on February 10 in one of the most famous basements of São Paulo’s underground, the legendary haunted nightclub Madame Satã. But there are more well-known (veteran) names on the new releases, including Ladytron, The Chemical Brothers, The Ocean Blue, The Jesus and Mary Chain and Romy (of the band The XX), who will also perform in Sao Paulo in 2024, at C6 Fest, May 18.
As always, videos are organized by sound affinity in a playlist – to watch on Smart TV, look for Cast in Chrome’s Settings tab or More Tools/Stream etc. on Edge -, with the aim of inserting a sequence that enhances the impression of video/mixtape recording. Try listening without skipping tracks on the Premium version of YouTube (without ad breaks). Press play and let it roll.
