Kanye West reactivated his Instagram profile this Tuesday (12/26) and apologized for anti-Semitic comments made in recent months. In Hebrew, the rapper said he “deeply regrets the pain he may have caused” with his aggressive speech.
“I sincerely apologize to the Jewish community for any unintentional outburst caused by my words or actions. It was not my intention to hurt or humiliate, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused,” said Ye, who pledged to learn from criticism.
“I am committed to starting from myself and learning from this experience to ensure greater sensitivity and understanding in the future. Your forgiveness is important to me and I am committed to making peace and promoting unity”, concludes the note published on Instagram.
Anti-Semitic speech
Over the course of this year, Kanye West has floated several “conspiracy theories” and made anti-Semitic speeches that even included defending Adolf Hitler’s Nazism. In the most recent one, he tried to link the Zionists and the pharmaceutical industry.
“I still keep some Jews around me. Like businessmen? No. I just let them make my jewelry. Who makes the hospitals? It’s the Zionists. That’s what I’m trying to tell you. Jesus Christ, Hitler, you sponsor this, fo*go to Balenciaga and Louis Vuitton,” he said during a live broadcast.
“I was dealing with a divorce lawyer and I explained to him what my problem was. And his response was: ‘If you continue with this anti-Semitic rhetoric, you won’t be able to see your children. I wouldn’t have an opinion, otherwise I wouldn’t I could see my children. Do you know who you’re kidding? I’m God’s intermediary,” Ye added.
