Mano Brown, Edi Rock, Ice Blue and KL Jay work on Racionais MC’s fifth studio album, which does not yet have a defined release date
After approximately 10 years without releasing a studio album, Racionais MC’s should release a new album in 2024, according to KL Jay. The legendary rap group’s last LP was Colors & Valueswhich has 15 tracks.
It is worth remembering how, in total, Mano Brown, Ed Rock, Ice Blue It is KL Jay released four studio albums as Rational: X-ray of Brazil (1993), Surviving in hell (1997), Nothing like One Day After Another Day (2002) and Colors & Values (2014). The group’s last new song was the single “A Thousand Faces of a Loyal Man (Marighella),” from 2017.
During an interview with the YouTube channel Dr. Rap - Projeto Rap Brasilthe DJ spoke about the quartet’s plans, such as an imminent album, which could arrive in 2024. However, the artist explained how there is still no defined release date.
“You Rational they have new music there, practically [com] the disc ready. Come on… there’s still no firm release date, it will probably be in 2024,” he said. “The songs [estão] good, it’s amazing. And that! We’re trying to resolve other issues before throwing the disc, get things out of the way, so we can throw lightly, without worry.”
I believe it is 2024, mid-2024, more or less.
