Ariana Grande returns blonder and thinner, after a three-year hiatus, with a danceable song that recalls the pop era of house music and Madonna’s “Vogue” phase in 1990. The song “Yes, and?” is accompanied by a music video, in which guests arrive in a loft for a special performance of the song, which includes clay statues and group choreography – voguing style.
The guests’ conversations, regarding the rumors about the artist’s life, coincide with the lyrics of the song, which addresses unpleasant comments on social media and preaches a message of self-affirmation. “Yeah, so what? / Say it out loud / And be your own best friend,” the chorus instructs.
“Yes is?” is the first single from Ariana’s upcoming album, which still doesn’t have a definitive title or release date – although fans speculate that it could be called “Eternal Sunshine”, due to the singer’s hints on social media about the film” Eternal Radiance of an Immaculate Mind” (2004).
The expectation is that the launch will take place in the first half of 2024.
