Simony became the target of attacks and questions after appearing with a swollen face. The singer, who is still being treated for bowel cancer, denied the comments in the early hours of Thursday (18/1) and denied having undergone any facial-tuning procedures.
“I decided to write, because I read a lot of comments on my latest video. Well, let me explain for the last time. I have had very serious kidney toxicity and, for four months, I have been using corticosteroids every day. That’s why my face it’s extremely swollen,” Simony wrote on her Instagram profile.
“I have not done and cannot do facial harmonization. I am still on immunotherapy and will do it for another year and seven months. IF YOU HAVE NOTHING NICE OR GOOD TO SAY TO A PERSON, THAT SAYS MORE ABOUT YOU , YOUR INNER, BEHOLD, AND YOU ONLY HAVE THIS TO OFFER, EVERYONE GIVES WHAT THEY HAVE,” concluded the publication, titled “I am alive, I am still grateful and happy.”
The singer has received support from celebrities who have also rejected the criticism. “You are an angel, an example of a mother. Don’t give importance to mediocre people,” commented sports commentator Neto. “You are wonderful. Those who know you will love you forever. You are Simony, incredible woman, you are gluglugluglu. I love you”, wrote Sérgio Mallandro.
