Singer Luis Fonsi continues to take his vast audience on a musical journey in 2024, this time debuting a heartfelt ballad titled Santiago, available on all digital platforms.
The premiere is accompanied by a video directed by the famous director Carlos Pérez and shot in Miami in an industrial environment with a heavy and empty atmosphere surrounded by destruction that serves as a metaphor for what happens inside people after a breakup.
Santiagocomposed of Fonsi, Mauricio Rengifo, Andrés Torres and Keityn, promises to become another classic from one of the most privileged voices in the music industry, both for the impeccable performance of the five-time Latin Grammy champion, and for the musicality and quality of the production, the latter signed by the award-winning Mauricio Rengifo and Andrés Torres.
“Santiago is about when you feel a clear disconnection in a relationship. When you live at opposite poles but don’t dare accept reality. I wanted to include this ballad because it deals with a topic that isn’t talked about much, that moment when two people recognize that the love is over and they decide to have the difficult conversation of ending the relationship respectfully before causing more pain.”Fonsi said.
It’s the third single from ‘TRAVEL‘, Fonsi’s next studio album whose concept is based on a journey through different musical genres and where each song is identified by cities or places that have been part of his long and successful artistic career, which spans more than 25 years on the stage. The artist will continue to release one track per month until the album’s official release.
