Miley Cyrus shines at the 2024 Grammys
Considered a highlight of the 2024 Grammys, Miley Cyrus received two statuettes, including Record of the Yearalso for “Flowers”, one of the most important of the night.
In thanking her for her first victory, presented by Mariah Carey, Miley Cyrus made a point of keeping the veteran singer by her side during the speech:
“I’m going to stand next to this MC now, because this is just too iconic. My god, I was stuck in traffic in the middle of the rain and I thought I was going to miss this moment. And I could lose the award. So far so good, but no [poderia perder] Mariah Carey. I just saw it at the Hollywood Bowl. It was amazing that I sat in my lucky seat number three,” said Miley.
“And so I have a story that I want to tell, that pretty much sums up this moment, and I wasn’t going to tell it, but now Mariah is here. So there was this little boy and all he wanted for his birthday was a butterfly. And his parents They gave him a butterfly net, which made him very excited. He went outside in the sun and started jumping and jumping trying to catch a butterfly. With no luck, he sat down on the floor and finally gave up, and he was fine that I wasn’t going to capture your beautiful butterfly. And that’s exactly when a butterfly appeared and landed right on the tip of your nose. And that track, ‘Flowers,’ is my butterfly. Thank you!”
