The Victoria and Albert Museum is looking for a Taylor Swift superfan to serve as a consultant on the singer for the museum
The Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), in the United Kingdom, is looking for a swiftie to serve as a consultant on the lives of Taylor Swift. The position, for which applications are accepted until March 7, was named “Superfan Consultant – Taylor Swift”.
The institution wants advice especially related to the “fan culture and memorabilia” created by swifties, with a focus on friendship bracelets made by fans who have attended the singer’s shows in recent months.
Exchanging bracelets between fans became popular thanks to the track “You’re On Your Own Kid” by Midnights (2022), whose lyrics read: “So make the friendship bracelets, enjoy the moment and savor it / You have no reason to be afraid.”
The museum is also looking for Superfan Consultants who can help with emojis, drag performances and the Crocs shoe brand.
In a statement to BBC (via People), the director of the museum, Dr Tristram Huntclarified: “These new advisory roles will help us celebrate and discover more about the huge and often surprising creative diversity offered by the V&A, as well as helping us learn more about the design stories relevant to our audiences today.”
