Michael Jackson Actually Wrote Sonic 3 Soundtrack, Confirms Game Creator

For years, pop culture has been rumored that Michael Jackson wrote Sonic 3’s soundtrack – and Yuji Naka confirmed the information on the franchise’s anniversary.

One of the big rumors of pop culture was how Michael Jackson was the person responsible for the soundtrack of Sonic the Hedgehog 3released February 2, 1994. Now, Yuji Nakacreator of the character, came to the public to reveal how these old speculations are true, according to information from the Consequence of Sound.

Naka confirmed the news in a string of tweets commemorating the 31st anniversary of the franchise’s first game, released in 1991. As the site pointed out, the reveal appears to have been prompted by the arrival of Sonic Originsa remastered compilation of the first four Blue Hedgehog games, which hit the market on June 23, 2022.

Yuji Naka made a publication in twitter and asked, “The Sonic OriginsSonic 3 got a different song?” and then explained the initial confusion over the re-release’s notable discrepancy: “Oh my God, the song for sonic 3 changed, even if the sega use the music of Michael Jackson.”

In another publication, the creator of sonic also posted an aerial photo of the Ranchneverlandproperty of Michael Jackson with the caption: “This is a photo I took with my camera when we went to his house in his helicopter. It’s pretty faded. I miss it.”
