Verstappen was impressed with the technology: “I never thought that one day I would see a drone flying so fast just to film. I didn’t know he was following me while I was driving in the wet. I was surprised by how quickly he could follow me and also how close he could be to me in the corners. Gives a really different perspective to what you normally see in F1.”

The development of this drone took place thanks to access to the know-how and processes of Red Bull Advanced Technologies. The sector is characterized as a high-performance engineering arm of the team Oracle Red Bull Racing Formula 1. It took more than a year to create a drone capable of accelerating twice as fast as a car. F1reaching 300 km/h in just 4 seconds and a top speed of more than 350 km/h.
