“My Blood Boils for You” tells the story of the romance between the singer and Miss Magali West, who met on TV, met resistance and are still together today
Manequim Filmes has released the poster and first trailer for “Meu Sangue Veve Por Você”, a comedy about Sidney Magal. Filled with secondary characters, the preview shows that the work is not a biopic about the singer, but the story of his romance with Magali West.
The plot is set in 1979, when Sidney Magal was already one of the most popular artists in Brazil. While taking part in a beauty contest on TV in Bahia, he meets the splendid Miss Magali and is struck by an immediate and overwhelming passion. But to experience this love, he needs to overcome the resistance of Jean Pierre, his passionate businessman, as well as the distrust of his family, his friends and Magali herself. To complicate matters – and the preview doesn’t show it – Magal was married to actress Solange Couto at the time.
The main duo is played by Filipe Bragança (“Dom”) and Giovana Cordeiro (“Fuzuê”) – who look nothing like the couple in real life.
It is directed by Paulo Machline (“Trinta”) and the premiere is scheduled for April 25th.
