After announcing the cancellation of “I Wanna Be”, the Brazilian singer confirmed the presence of a new song in her next album
Anitta returned on Thursday (3/21) and confirmed that she will launch an unprecedented partnership with Sam Smith. The statement took place in a live broadcast by the Brazilian, suggesting that it is a new song from the album “Funk Generation”.
“Yes, guys! We have confirmed the song. We will release the song with Sam Smith on the album, which is really fantastic news to tell you,” Anitta declared on her Instagram profile. “And wow, guys, I’m so happy,” the artist added.
Was it that bad?
Last month Anitta declared that the song “I Wanna Be” had been officially canceled due to Sam Smith’s decision. The singer didn’t go into further details, but she said her album suffered from the sudden cancellation.
The artist also made it clear that the album had to be postponed to reorganize his strategy. “We had to reschedule the album release plan and as soon as we have the date you will know. It won’t be too late, everything else is already ready”, she concluded.
