A self-confessed fan of the band, the ‘BBB 8’ winner caught the baton thrown by Travis Barker at the end of the show at the Sao Paulo festival
Rafinha Ribeiro, winner of “BBB 8”, experienced a moment of great emotion during the performance of the band Blink-182 at Lollapalooza 2024, which took place on Friday evening (22/3) in Sao Paulo. The former BBB, a big fan of the band, managed to grab the drumstick of Travis Barker, the group’s drummer, thrown to the audience at the end of the show.
Sharing the result on social media, Rafinha wrote: “It’s done.”

Rafinha was one of the Blink-182 fans with the greatest expectations for the band’s show in Brazil. In 2023, he got a tattoo honoring the group to celebrate their arrival in the country. However, the band ended up canceling their performance at Lollapalooza 2023 due to Travis Barker having surgery on his finger.
The tattoo was still healing when Rafinha found out about the show’s cancellation. In the drawing, which took about five hours to create, Rafinha immortalized the rabbit, which is a sort of mascot of the band, as well as writing the names of the group and the festival.
Despite the cancellation of the show, Rafinha did not erase the tattoo, which gave him luck for this year’s show. He now he has a story to tell about the tattoo.
