The musician spoke for the first time about the sudden announcement of the drummer’s departure, days before Sepultura’s farewell tour: “bullshit”
Andreas Kisser spoke for the first time about leaving Eloy Casagrande of Grave. The statement came to the program Connectedfrom the radio Transamericain which the guitarist said he found Casagrande’s departure on the eve of the group’s farewell tour “weird”.
“It was really weird, the way he chose to do things,” Kisser said. “Two days before he broke the news, we were organizing the setlist, doing things on the screen, details, what it’s going to be like, what song we’re going to play, what we’re going to put on the look, etc… And, All of a sudden, he decided to do this.”

Despite the “bullshit”, as he defined the match to the presenter Roman LauritoAndreas made a point of reinforcing Eloy Casagrande’s talent:
“We already knew that Eloy is a phenomenal musician, probably the best drummer on the scene. He’s a guy who really, you see veteran drummers, the guys are impressed to see him play. He has a really fantastic technique “, he declared.
Asked about possible rumors that the Brazilian would be leaving to join the SkipknotKisser disagreed: “what he told us was that he was leaving the band to dedicate himself to another project”.

Eloy Casarande in Slipknot
Recently, Slipknot gave more impetus to rumors that Eloy would be the group’s new drummer. The band’s official Instagram profile posted a photo of a drumstick Promark broken with the caption: “essay”. One of the musicians sponsored by Promark is Eloy, known for using the instrument with the same pattern.

Eloy Casagrande joining Slipknot has been a source of speculation since his sudden departure from Graveon the eve of the group’s farewell tour.

His announcement followed the dismissal of Jay Weinberg by Slipknot and was not so well received by Sepultura, who criticized Eloy before announcing Greyson Nekrutmanof Suicidal Tendencies for the final tour.
(Ironically, Tendencies would announce ex-Slipknot Jay Weinberg to fill the vacancy left by Nekrutman.)
