The work revisits music classics, reimagined in the singer’s voice and with remixes made by the DJ, the ten songs will be released this Thursday, 18
Remembering is living and reinventing yourself is an art. Thinking about that, Luiza Possi and the DJ Lucas Borchardt came together to launch Dreams (2024), a project that brings back ten great musical hits and presents new versions to the public.
Classics like “That’s the way I am,” “French style,” “Emotion” It is “Holiday” are some of the songs on the setlist of Dreamswhich hits digital platforms on Friday, the 19th. The name came from one of the songs on the album, the classic “Dreams,” in Fleetwood Macwhich gains a more contemporary version in the singer’s voice, accompanied by the DJ’s pickups — as you can see in a video she posted on social media.

The project arose from an invitation from Lucas and from Live Talents made to Luiza, so that they could come together in the electronic music project. In an interview with Rolling Stone Brazilshe says she really liked the idea.
On his latest studio album, Luiza Pop (2023), she experimented with a more electronic look and played with the idea of remixes. “I was really enjoying this wave of remixes, so we decided to take a very well-known repertoire and make it a disco version, remixed and I’m loving singing with it,” says the artist.
The passion for electronic music doesn’t come just now. Luiza confesses that he likes the genre and loves dancing at parties. “I really wanted to have things on my playlist that I listen to in my daily life and I listen to a lot of electronic music,” she reveals. “So I wanted to put my voice in the things I hear.”
I wanted it to be a repertoire known to the public. I think I’ll continue my life alternating between an album of new songs and one of known songs.
She explains that a project of new songs requires another type of effort to publicize it so that it reaches people’s ears. “They always run to something they already know,” she reflects. Luiza He also understands that it can be cool to work with songs already known to the public.
The choice of repertoire, in fact, came from songs that the duo know people know and that go well together. “The name is from the song”Dreams,’ but also about the dreams that people have. What they would like to hear at their wedding, at the most important moment in their lives.”
Regarding the presentations, the singer assures that we can expect surprises. “I’ve never done a live vocal with a DJ, I’m loving doing this type of show, it’s been a lot of fun. It’s a ton of sound, very whole and massive,” she concludes.
