The vocalist paid homage to Klimister and Motörhead with a tattoo inspired by ‘Ace of Spades’
James Hetfieldof Metallica, surprised fans this Wednesday, 17th, by publishing a photo of his new tattoo. He paid tribute to Lemmy Kilmister with a design inspired by Ace of Spades (1980). The tattoo on the middle finger had a special touch of ink: a “pinch” of the founder’s ashes. Motorhead.
“With the steady hand of friend and tattoo artist @coreymillertattoo, this tattoo. A tribute to my friend and inspiration, Mr. Lemmy Kilmister. Without it, there would be NO Metallica“, he wrote Hetfield in the caption of an Instagram post in which he appears holding a box apparently containing the ashes of Klimister.
“Black paint mixed with a pinch of his cremation ashes that were kindly given to me. So now, he can still give the world the middle finger.”
