Evanescence’s frontwoman had to deny rumors that she would take over from Chester Bennington, who died in 2017

He later tried to distance himself from the rumors by saying that people “love” to take his words “out of context.”
In an interview with iHeart radio, Amy Leefrontwoman of Evanescence, spoke about the subject. “That’s an incredible compliment. I didn’t know that. No, I haven’t been contacted or anything like that. But I’m a huge fan. It seems like our worlds, our fanbases, have the same people,” she said.
The artist explained that the last interaction with the LinkinPark was when Chester Bennington and she were in the studio at the same time.
Although Lee admitted that she won’t be the band’s new singer, she didn’t rule out the idea: “No, it’s not true. But that’s amazing. They should ask me about it. I don’t have a lot of free time, but I could do it part time.” .
