Anitta releases music video for “Aceita” with a religious theme

Poderosa pre-premiere of music video recorded in a Candomblé terreiro after experiencing religious intolerance on social media

Anitta released the “controversial” video for “Aceita” this Tuesday (5/14), a day after suffering from religious intolerance on social media. The singer’s new song strengthens her bond with the orixás and features scenes set in a Candomblé terreiro.

The song, available on the album “Funk Generation”, reflects the singer’s journey from her origins in the Rio favela to global success, including when she made history by taking the stage at the Coachella festival or wearing luxurious Donatella Versace dresses.

Lyrically, Anitta still challenges those who underestimate her as an international artist and do not recognize her true essence. Poderosa also puts her linguistic versatility to good use by singing a mix of Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish and English.

“I’ll die like this, I’ll never change. / It’s just that I’ll die like this, I’ll never change. / It’s not that hard to accept. / I don’t know “I don’t think you know what they call me,” says an excerpt from the new song with beats funk.
