Producer GR6 brought together eleven Brazilian funk artists and rapper Ice Blue to share their voices on the single “Os Pretos No Due Lugar”, which is now available on all digital platforms. The song was inspired by the player Vini Jr., considered a global exponent in the anti-racist struggle.
The new song also features the participation of Ludmilla, MC Ryan SP, MC Livinho, MC Davi, MC Hariel, MC Don Juan, Ice Blue, dos Racionais, MC IG, LT no Beat, Vulgo FK, MC Kelvinho, MC Luki. as per Murillo and MC Kadu.
“Despite the lonely journey he [Vini Jr.] it’s happening in Europe, here in Brazil we know it [o racismo] It’s a reality for many too. And this song reminds him that he is not alone and that we start from here to fight together for such an important cause”, declared the entrepreneur and owner of GR6, Rodrigo Oliveira.
The clip features excerpts from the life story of Vini Jr., who scored one of the goals in Real Madrid’s victory over Borussia Dortmund (2-0) in the Champions League final. The athlete became the first Brazilian to score goals in more than one decisive match of the tournament.
“They envy my color / But they don’t chain my thoughts / My boots gave me wings / But God gave me my talent / What’s ours I want back / And there’s no argument / When black people are at top / It’s hard to catch up with,” goes the beginning of the nearly 17-minute song.
