Singer Preta Gil had to cancel her show at the Presença Festival, scheduled for this Saturday (9/6) at Circo Voador, in Rio de Janeiro, after being admitted to a hospital in the city.
This Saturday morning, the organizers of the festival announced the cancellation: “Unfortunately we inform you that the show of the singer Preta Gil, who will perform today, at the Festival Presença 2024, is canceled for health reasons.”
The organizers of the event expressed best wishes to the 49-year-old singer: “We wish her a speedy recovery and are very grateful for your cooperation. We hope you will be with us on the next occasion, Preta Gil.”

Preta Gil wasn’t the only singer to cancel shows for health reasons this weekend. Lulu Santos was also hospitalized and canceled her performances at the João Rock and Salve o Sul festivals because she was not feeling well at home. No further details were revealed. The singer was hospitalized at the Clínica São Vicente, in Rio de Janeiro, and remains under observation.
