The group published a teaser for their new single, ‘First Time’, on Instagram
O Coldplay shared a teaser for a new single. With the caption simply saying “First time”, the band released an excerpt of the song last Friday, the 7th, in a post on Instagram.
The video shows Chris Martin at Pacific Park, an amusement park in Santa Monica, California. The lyrics say: “It feels like I’m falling in love / You’re throwing me a lifeline / Oh, now for the first time / I know we’re not alone”.
It would be the first new material from Coldplay since Music of the Spheres (2021). In January last year, the group stated that an album called Moon Music it was almost ready. Band members described it as “the second volume of Music of the Spheres” (via NME).

In the past, the Coldplay suggested that he would stop releasing new albums in 2025. “One thing I can tell you: our last album will come out in 2025, and, after that, I think we’ll just tour,” he said Martin in an interview with Jo Whiley. “Maybe we’ll do some collaborative things, but the catalog Coldplay it will be over.”
