Chico Buarque is one of the greatest Brazilian artists. The singer and composer, who will turn 80 this Wednesday 19, owns 537 musical works and more than 1,300 recordings registered with the Collective Management of Music in Brazil, according to information from Ecad.
Many of these songs have been covered by different artists. Maria Bethânia was the one who performed the composer’s songs the most, followed by Edu Lobo, Magro Waghabi, Miltinho and Aquiles Rique Reis, the last three of the MPB4 group.
