The song was originally released as a single from the album “Orgia” (2022) and became one of Johnny Hooker’s biggest hits
Johnny Hooker released this Friday (6/21) the bregafunk version of the song “Cuba”, with the special participation of Pabllo Vittar. Originally, the song was released as a single from the album “Orgia” (2022), and became one of his biggest hits, ranking 6th among the artist’s most listened to songs on Spotify.
In an interview with Quem, the artist said that the track was chosen by the drag queen herself. “Pabllo Vittar is without a doubt one of the greatest artists this country has ever had,” extolled Hooker, before providing more details on the new release.
“I was working on a remix of the song ‘Caetano Veloso’ with Brabo Music (Gorky, Maffalda and Zebu), which is the same production team that produces it, and the opportunity arose for her to collaborate on one of the remixes! The best thing is that she herself chose ‘Cuba’ because she really liked the song,” she said. “For me, I had a whole album with her, I admire the person and the artist very much. I hope we have many more opportunities to collaborate.”
