The song “Defaunação” aims to address the problems caused by the development of agricultural activity on an industrial scale
Singer Ney Matogrosso participated in the recording of “Defaunação”, a song created by the NGO Global Animal Protection to address the risks to Brazilian wildlife due to the uncontrolled advancement of industrial agriculture.
In addition to the activist, the song was supported by singers Frejat, Letrux, Mahmundi and Zahy Tentehar, who also support the cause. The recording took place last week, at the Casa do Mato studio, in Gávea, Rio de Janeiro.
The song “Defaunação” will be officially released on digital platforms on July 17, the date on which Forest Protection Day, also known as Curupira Day, is celebrated.
