The Rolling Stones celebrate 30 years of their album ‘Voodoo Lounge’

Last Thursday (11), the 30th anniversary of the Rolling Stones’ Grammy-winning 1994 album was celebrated and special editions of it were released. Voodoo Lounge are now available in physical and digital formats. The release includes four additional tracks that will be released on streaming services.

The new editions celebrate a studio album that has sold more than six million copies worldwide and includes Stones favourites. You drove me crazy, to tears and the song Love is strongwhich reached the UK top 20 and won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album.

The 30th Anniversary releases, which include a wide range of merchandise including; a 2-LP red and yellow vinyl edition, another 2-LP red and yellow vinyl edition that includes a 10-inch white vinyl record with four extra songs. Like the album, the extra songs are compositions by Jagger and Richards (all but one), written at Dublin’s Windmill Lane studios at the end of the Voodoo Lounge recording sessions.

Songs available for the first time on streaming platforms include I will drivethe original B-side of the single Without tearswith an excellent slide guitar part by Ronnie Wood; the cheerful So youngwhich originated in Some girls since 1978; Jump on top of methe B-side of You drove me crazy; AND The stormanother track that evokes the Stones’ unbreakable bond with Chicago blues.

Rolling Stones: Documentary Shows First Performance in China

The Rolling Stones Share Documentary From London to Shanghaiwhich captures historical images of the first performance of the legendary British rock band in 2006.

The Rolling Stones’ Historic Concert on the Other Side of the World show the first of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ron Wood AND Charlie Watts (1941-2021) in Mainland Chinabringing one of the most renowned live shows in rock history.

The audiovisual production includes interviews with the producer Dale “Opie” Skjerseth and the godfather of Chinese rock Whose Juan. Furthermore, the documents present the behind the scenes of the concert AND unpublished images of the historic show.
