Guilherme Goes suffered a serious upset during a trip to Campos do Jordão, São Paulo
Guilherme Goes, bassist of the band Zimbra, lost four fingers on his right hand after suffering a horse-drawn carriage accident. The musician explained that the incident occurred on July 20, during a trip to Campos do Jordão, in São Paulo.
“I came to tell you that I’m fine. For those who don’t know, last Saturday I was in Campos do Jordão and I had a very serious accident. I was in a horse-drawn carriage, it overturned and in the fall I ended up losing all four fingers of my right hand”, he said in a statement published on Sunday (28/7) on Zimbra’s social networks.
The bassist lamented the fate and said it took him a while to accept the loss of his fingers. “At first, the process of assimilation was very difficult to understand what was happening to me. But after that I could only be grateful to be alive,” he continued.
Life goes on!
Guilherme also said that he intends to continue playing bass: “I will be able to do the thing I love most in life again, which is to go on stage. The doctors are happy that I am recovering very well, things are going very well.”
“I am very grateful to be well. My head is very well, I have so much hope and so much desire to live and start over. I am very grateful to be well. My head is very well, I have so much hope and so much desire to live and start over,” added the artist.
