The band, which had not released music since 2009, released ‘Vai Virar Prédio’ this year and will perform at the iconic São Paulo cinema, where they will release another single.
You False Echoes are back. The band that was part of the São Paulo indie scene went years without official releases, until July of this year, when they released the single “It will become a building,” which broke a 15-year hiatus without new tracks.
Now, the group is preparing for the release of “Gustavo from Standup,” the second single from the band’s new era, which will be released at a special show at Reag Belas Artes, in São Paulo, on September 6. The performance will be part of the Ao Vivo no Belas program, which promotes shows in one of the building’s rooms.

The new track is inspired by the singer’s “brief and not exactly glorious experience Gustavo Martins as a stand-up comedian,” as the band explains in a statement. The guitarists Philip Daros and Daniel Akashi were responsible for transforming the phase into a song.
“More than commenting on the shows that didn’t work out and the fights he’s had on the internet, the lyrics talk about how difficult it is to communicate with people these days,” he summarizes. Philip. The track was recorded remotely – the drummer of Echoes, David Rodriguez now lives in Frankfurt. The show will also recall other moments in the band’s trajectory.
