Chappell Roan made it clear that he would not like to enter the world of acting. In an interview with Interview Magazine (via NME), she was asked by the actor Bowen Yang if you’ve ever considered becoming an actress to escape the demands of touring and live shows.
Roan revealed that she had been offered movie roles but turned them down. “I say this with peace, love and blessings: actors are f*cking crazy,” she said. “Like, I get so crazy with movie people. I’ve been asked in the last few weeks, ‘Do you want lead role X, Y or Z?’ And I’m like, ‘No.'”

The singer then admitted that she started her music career as a way to “open doors” to acting, but changed her mind when she arrived in Los Angeles. “The industry is legitimately so scary and so out of my control. I can release music whenever I want. I don’t have to wait for a casting director to say, ‘It would be great if you joined the cast, and then we’ll figure out your schedule for the next three months,'” she said.

She also reinforced that she would not accept bigger roles: “I have been trained in acting, but it is the most stressful thing in the world for me. I would rather be arrested… Because I know how to behave in prison.”
