Francisco, the Man presents ‘Acabou Chorare’ in tribute to the Novos Baianos

Special show will take place on October 4th, in São Paulo; 1972 album was elected by Rolling Stone Brazil as the greatest in Brazilian music

In honor of the New Bahiansthe band Francisco, the Man will do a special show with songs from the album No more cryingreleased in 1972 by the group formed by Moraes Moreira, Pepeu Gomes, Baby from Brazil and company.

The presentation will take place on October 4th at Casa Natura Musical, in São Paulo.

No more crying is the second album by Novos Baianos and features tracks that span generations, such as “Mystery of the Planet” and “The Dancing Girl”. The album is so remarkable that, in 2007, it was elected by Rolling Stone Brazil as the greatest album in Brazilian music.

The public always associated Novos Baianos with us and, the more we listened, the closer we got to them. They were a very important reference in terms of lifestyle and sense of community. The connection between the bands is not new. In 2020, Francisco, el Hombre published a version of “Brazil Tambourine”opening track No more crying.

The result of a connection between Brazil and Mexico, Francisco, el Hombre carries all the particularities of both cultures, while at the same time finding the aspects of unity between them.

Latin American roots brought Mexican brothers together Sebastian (drums) and Mateo Piraces-Ugarte (voice and guitar) to the Brazilians LAZÚLI (voice and percussion), Helena Papini (bass) and Andrei Martinez Kozyreff (guitar).

The result was a combination of the sonic essence of reggaeton with electronic and punk-rock elements.

The group’s identity is based on a repertoire that ranges from Mrs. Onete and Rubel the Sidney Magaland also extends to the quintet’s performances.
