Members of the iconic rock band formed in the United States, Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain had some disagreements in the legal field

Despite being part of the formation of the Journeyiconic American rock band, Neal Schon (guitar) and Jonathan Cain (keyboard) have some legal disagreements. For example, in November 2023, it was revealed how the guitarist filed a lawsuit against the keyboardist. Now, Schon accepted one of his bandmate’s requests.

Schon is the founder of the band; Cain joined in 1980, but acquired the role of partner alongside the artist. The action is related to the use of a credit card of American Express by the company responsible for managing the group’s finances, Nomota. Because of this, he asked a third person to become the mediator of the Freedom 2020 Inc.

In a publication made in Facebook, Neal Schon spoke out on the matter. “Dear friends, anyone who follows the Journey will know that Jon Cain and I don’t always agree on everything,” he wrote. “Or sometimes on just about anything. Recently, Jon Cain made a series of slanderous allegations and accusations about me and my wife – and I cannot emphasize enough how much this upsets me and how wrong they are.”

I am determined to take the high road and put all of this aside for now to focus on our fans, the tour and everyone who works so hard to make things happen. That is why I am so happy that Jon now agree with me that the current dynamic cannot continue and that is also why I am pleased that we will be bringing in someone impartial to help us resolve our disputes, bring clarity to what we are doing and allow us, as a band, to get back to what we should all be focusing on – making music and playing for our fans.
