The singer reveals she plans to take a long-term break from the scene after finishing her commitments this year
Adele has surprised fans by revealing that she plans to step away from music and performing after wrapping up her run of shows in Munich, Germany, last Saturday (8/31). In her words: “I have 10 shows to do, but after that I won’t see them for an incredibly long time and I will hold them very dear to my heart.” The singer concludes her performances in the German city, where she performed in a specially designed portable arena, before returning to the United States to complete her Las Vegas residency.
The trajectory of the tour
Adele’s tour has been marked by challenges, especially with the postponement of the start of her Las Vegas shows, which the singer has called “the worst moment” of her career. She admitted that the original stage setup was disconnected from her and her band, lacking the intimacy needed for a satisfying performance. “I couldn’t have continued if I had done a show I didn’t believe in,” Adele said in Monaco, reflecting on the challenges she overcame.
The last shows in Las Vegas will take place between October 25th and November 23rd.
Adele’s Future
As Adele prepares to wrap up her performances by November, her future in music remains uncertain. In an interview with broadcaster ZDF in July, she said she had no plans for new music at the moment, expressing a desire to explore other forms of creativity “for a while.”
At the same time, the singer is engaged to Rich Paul, a successful businessman in the world of sports. She is the mother of an 11-year-old son, Angelo, from her previous marriage to Simon Konecki.
