Singer known for hits like “Didn’t Cha Know,” “On & On,” “I’ll Call You Back” and “Appletree,” Erykah Badu will have a large presence in Brazil in 2024. This Wednesday, the 4th, the festival Rock The Mountain announced an extra date with the 53-year-old artist’s show at this year’s edition.
The presentation in question is scheduled for November 8, the date on which Djonga and Fat Family will also perform shows. The event will take place at Mayor Paulo Rattes Municipal Parkin Itaipava, Petropolis, Rio de Janeiro.
In addition to the 8th, the festival will also take place on the 9th and 10th, 16th and 17th of November, with performances by names such as Anitta, Pabllo Vittar, Joelma, Zeca Pagodinho, Mr. Jorge, The Great Encounter (Elba Ramalho, Alceu Valença and Geraldo Azevedo), CPM 22, Zombie Nation, Planet Hemp, Nando Reis, MatuĂȘ, Mart’nalia, Letrux, Black Gil, Mahmundi, Sky, MV Bill, Cheek, Attooxxa, Ed Motta, Uriah, Little Pope, Ana Electric Chicken, Momana, The Little Boys, DJ Marlborobetween others.
“We always wanted our festival to be three days long, but the risks are very high. As the brand became more established and the public bought into our idea, in 2022 we moved to two weekends, with a mirrored line-up,” he said. Ricardo Brautigamco-founder of RTM. “But we were still waiting for the right time to launch this third date.”
With the coming of Erykah Badu to Brazil, the trigger we needed was created, we could not let this opportunity pass us by.
“For now, it will be an opening night only on the first weekend, as sales go on, we will understand the viability of opening on Friday of the second weekend,” he continued.
