Billie Eilish He arrived in Brazil in 2023, when he attended the Lollapalooza festival. The visit gave the singer good memories, in addition to the deafening screams of the audience: while he was in the countryside, he wrote one of the passages of the song Birds of a Featherone of the biggest hits of his latest album, Hit me hard and soft.
In an interview with the American program Jimmy Kimmel Live!aired on Tuesday, April 3, Billie revealed that part of the song appeared in a car on the way to the show. “This is a video I recorded on my phone, from the back seat of an SUV in Brazil, on the way to the show, a year and a half ago,” she said, before showing the recording.
The singer explained that these types of situations are common in her creative process with her brother Finneas O’Connell, with whom she writes and produces her songs. “It’s normal. We always work in the most random places. There is no time to diefrom the James Bond movie, it was recorded on a tour bus, in the dark,” Billie explained.
The final version of the song, however, took a lot of work. According to Billie, several changes were made to the song until it became the final product, which is now a hit on music charts and social video networks. “The interesting and special thing about this video is that it’s such an old version of the song that I don’t even remember. It’s really amazing to see how far a song has come,” the singer commented.
