At 38, the Los Angeles singer takes on the band’s vocals
THE Linkin Park is back with great news. In addition to the new album From Zerowhich will be released on November 15, the group announced the singer Emily Armstrong as the new lead singer. Born on May 6, 1986 in Los Angeles, Emily rose to fame as the lead singer of the band Dead Sara.
Emily began her musical career at an early age. At the age of 11, she was already playing the guitar and, at the age of 15, she began to develop her vocal skills, which led her to decide to drop out of school to dedicate herself to music. Her biggest influences include bands and artists such as Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicksand Joni Mitchellwhich shaped his style. These influences can be felt in his work in Dead Saraa band he founded in 2002, initially with the name Epiphany.

Emily rose to prominence in 2012 with the release of the single Weathermanwhich quickly became a hit. Other songs, such as Mona Lisa, Lemon Scentand Heroesalso helped to consolidate the band’s name in the alternative rock scene.
