Band’s first album leads amid announcement of return to the stage
The album Definitely, Maybeof Oasisreached the top of the British charts again, 30 years after its original release. The special re-release in celebration of the album’s 30th anniversary was responsible for boosting sales, mainly of vinyl, which represented more than half of total sales.
Originally released in 1994, the album had already debuted at number one and, with the recent announcement of the return of Oasisto the stage in 2025, fans’ enthusiasm for the band has been rekindled. The Official Charts Company recorded a 408% increase in album sales compared to the previous week. In addition to Definitely, Maybeother albums by the group also returned to the ranking, such as TimeFlies… (1994-2009) and What’s The Story Morning Glory?occupying third and fourth places, respectively.
The last time the Oasistopped the album charts in 2010. The band, which split in 2009 after a series of fights between the brothers Noel and Liam Gallagherreturns after 15 years.
