Rapper Cardi B has released the video for “Hot Shit”, the business card of her second album, which literally portrays her high above a futuristic city.
In the lyrics, he celebrates the independence and security that his success has provided. “However you face it, deep down I’m the bitch that’s on top / New Chanel, I shake it, twist it and it’s not out yet,” she sings.
Full of effects, the video directed by Russian director Lado Kvataniya (“Kazn”) also features the appearances of rappers Lil Durk and Kanye West. The three appear in different environments and Kanye may not be Kanye, because, typically like Kanye, he is a masked man. No problem, because only Cardi B catches fire, even literally, in the midst of the strong grip of the song, punctuated by a roaring electronic bass.
“Hot Shit” is expected to be part of the successor album to “Invasion of Privacy” (2018), details of which have not yet been revealed, such as title and release date.
