Joelma to Perform in Wheelchair After Ankle Injury

The singer from Pará suffered a sprain during her last show in Bilbao, Spain

Joelma is adapting her schedule after suffering a sprain in her right ankle during her last show in Bilbao, Spain. The singer, who had to cancel her TV appearances, will have to perform in a wheelchair in the coming days. The information was released by the Leo Dias portal.

The artist will take the stage this Friday (20/9) in Santarém, Pará, even without being able to present her lively choreographies. Doctor Maurício Leite, who treated her just after her return from her trip to Europe, explained in the medical report that Joelma underwent some imaging tests to identify the severity of the sprain.

Tests revealed a ligament and tendon injury in her right ankle, caused by the twisting that Joelma had on stage. To recover as quickly as possible, the former muse of the band Calypso will be under medical monitoring and undergo rehabilitation with physiotherapy. She is already sharing part of the treatment on social media.
