A fire broke out in the festival’s food court Samba Recifeduring the show Thiaguinhoon the night of Saturday 28th, in the outdoor space of the Congress Center of Pernambucoin Olinda.

The fire reached some tents, but no one was injured. Only material damage was recorded. The fire broke out around 9.30pm and was put out by 10.30pm. The singer also asked for a round of applause for the firefighters after they put out the fire.
In a statement released on social media, the event organizers said that the fire brigade team managed to act quickly, putting out the fire and ensuring tranquility and safety for the public.
“All safety protocols were followed. The event continued normally,” Samba Recife said.
The event, which celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2024, continues this Sunday, the 29th, starting at 6pm. Alcione, Fundo de Quintal, Sorriso Maroto, Mumuzinho and Xande de Pilares are among the attractions that will perform on the second evening of the event.
