Recently, in the United States, a large number of music videos and songs from popular artists such as Adele, Nirvana, Kendrick Lamar and many others have been blocked on YouTube. This situation is the result of a copyright dispute involving SESAC, an organization that manages public performance rights to music.
In addition to Adele and Nirvana, other artists such as Mariah Carey, Bob Dylan and Green Day have also removed their content from the platform.
Users who attempted to access these clips received messages that the content was not available in their country.
The block is attributed to a licensing conflict between YouTube and SESAC, which resulted in the removal of hundreds of iconic videos.
While the situation has caused concern among fans, it is not yet clear whether this removal will be permanent or whether the parties will be able to reach an agreement to restore access to the content.
