Music video for ‘Temporary’, a song in partnership with Skylar Grey, shows footage of father and daughter
At 51 years old, Eminem is about to become a grandfather. He announced the news this Thursday, 3rd, by releasing the music video for “Temporary”, a song in partnership with Skylar Gray. His latest album project, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) (2024), brings together home footage of Hailie Jade Scottthe rapper’s daughter who is pregnant.
“A lot of people ask me if I’m afraid of death. The truth is that what scares me most is not being able to say everything I want to say to you when you’re no longer here. This song is for Hailie“, states the musician at the beginning of the video clip.
The production mixes footage from Hailie as a child and as an adult, during her wedding ceremony. At one point, she shows her father a photo of an ultrasound and presents him with a t-shirt that says “Grandpa”.

Hailie is married to Evan McClintock since last year. They have been together since 2016, when they met during college.
Eminem has two other adopted daughters — also mentioned in “Temporary”: Alaina Marie Mathers and Stevie Laine Mathers. Watch the music video:
