Elis Regina’s granddaughter debuts on stage singing her grandmother’s song; clock


Rafaela Mariano performed together with her father, Pedro Mariano, at an event in Sao Paulo

Raffaella Mariano18 years old, nephew of the singer Eli Regina (1945-1982), made his stage debut. He sang together with his father, a singer and musician Pedro Marianoin an event promoted by Bradesco Seguros at the Bradesco Theater, in Sao Paulo, on the afternoon of this Tuesday 8th.

They chose the song Rediscoverby Gonzaguinha, released by Elis in 1980, on the album Brazil is missing. Recordings of the performance were posted on Instagram by Rafaela, Pedro, family friends and fans. In the background, on the screen, you can see photos and images of Elis.

In a publication, Rafaela thanked her father for accompanying her on her stage debut. “Thank you for sharing this dream with me. You are the best friend I could have, in all my past and future lives. There will only be you, always. Thank you, dad!”

Rafaela has long shown her talent as a singer and musician in Instagram posts. He has already released covers of songs by Jão, Chico Buarque, Dorival Caymmi and Coldplay. In addition to Elis, Rafaela is also the granddaughter of pianist and arranger Cesar Camargo Mariano.
