In an interview with Rolling Stone, Mel Lisboa gives details of the show in honor of Rita Lee and comments on her relationship with music

“It has a history of ours, it’s beautiful. That’s why I started doing the shows and now I’ve started to enjoy it more, and feel more comfortable”, says the artist, who adds that she is paying homage, and not characterizing herself as the singer. “I don’t do the Ritathe show is a tribute. Lisbon also stars in the show Rita Lee, A Musical Autobiography and says that, with repetition and study, even the result of the piece became better over time — and continues to please fans, as the last batch of tickets for performances has sold out. The show Voice and Guitar – Tribute to Rita Lee was presented by Seguros Unimed Theater Festival and featured presentations in 24 cities in the interior and coast of São Paulo, until October 5th. In the show, Mel Lisboa sang 16 songs within the rich repertoire of Rita Lee.
