Festival No Ar Coquetel Molotov announces attractions for its 20th anniversary edition

The No Ar Coquetel Molotov Festival announced this Thursday (17), through an online press conference, the attractions of the 21st edition of the event, which will take place on December 7 from 3pm on the Campus of the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) . The Festival brings together famous names from the Brazilian scene, such as Pabllo Vittar, Ebony and Tati Quebra Barraco, emerging artists, such as Zaynara and Fyk Yá, and names from the international scene, such as Roni (France) and Bar Itália (England).

This year the Festival turns 20 and promises 12 hours of music of which more than 25, 70% of which are composed of women, divided into its three stages. THE Molotov stands out for its positioning aimed at promoting new talents and reflecting on new trends in the music scene.

In the press conference, Ana Garcia, producer of the event, underlines the importance of the cultural diversity of the event: “The difference lies in mixing different styles and creating experiences that become unique memories for the public. We understand that a person’s musical tastes are varied, which is why the Molotov cocktail includes everything from popular culture to indie music, MPB, electronica and even cheesy funk. And this concern for diversity is not just limited to music, as the event will feature several accessibility actions including a sign language interpreter, audio description, adapted bathrooms and Braille menus, with the aim of creating an accessible environment for everyone.

THE LGBTQIA+ SINGER FROM BRAZIL IS THE HEADLINER OF THIS EDITION

This year’s big attraction is none other than Pabllo Vittar, the pop diva already familiar in Recife, being the main attraction of the city carnival in 2023. But the artist and the Festival already have an ancient history dating back to 2017, when the artist released his hit “Open Bar,”I was in love, but she was already going to Los Angeles to record and in the years that followed, with our financial difficulties, we couldn’t dream of taking her. It is a relationship that has lasted for many years“, Ana said during the press conference.

The artists Nega do Babado and Rayssa Dias also participated in the collective, two big names of Pernambuco’s brega funk who performed their shows together at the festival. Rayssa highlighted her experiences in previous editions of the Festival, how she was shaped by the festival environment and the importance it has for her career: “There I understood what a festival was. We don’t have much idea. The cocktail was very important to my career and my life. I didn’t know that cheesy funk could bring me here.[…] I was a girl who had no idea what a festival was. The show was historic for my career, it was very significant for the story of my life“.

Another highlight of the event will be on the 6thth Molotov Business Cocktail, a space aimed at artists, producers and entrepreneurs in the cultural sector. The event aims to be a space for exchanging experiences and networking between operators in the music scene, with the aim of strengthening local and national music. the event will take place on 5 and 6 December and its program includes workshops and pocket shows

Tickets for the event are available starting from $190 and can be purchased digitally through the shotgun platform and physically at Barchef stations in the RioMar shopping center, in the South Zone of Recife, and at the Think Collection Rules store, in Boa Vista , in the center of Recife.
