The band Pense – a reference in the national hardcore scene and formed by Italo Nonato AND Alexander the Great (who are responsible for the production of the new album), Daniel Avelar, Juda Ramos AND Raphael – I just released the new album Everything we need to remember. The album is the band’s first new project in six years and the first from this new lineup.
The production also includes the assembly of Marco Tulio Nonatoin addition to the work of the renowned Gabriel Zanderresponsible for the work for Bad Love, Sugar Kane, Radical Karmaamong others, he was responsible for mixing and mastering.
TO Italo, work everywhere 11 tracks reflects Pense’s current moment and the personal issues that members felt important to share with the public.
“These songs summarize the moment we live in, with several things we felt were important to record and wanted to convey. This album synthesizes the ignition spark and begins the process of reigniting a flame in the midst of the darkness. It is a reflection on everything what we have experienced so far and about this rebirth. It is a new moment of rediscovery, of relearning to walk, and in it we try to tie together everything we need to remember to get out of this dark side”, explains the Think.
Each song addresses themes relevant to human existence, such as family, friendship AND Loveas well as more complex topics such as mental health AND sociopolitical issues. For the band members, this album marks a creative maturity, where the production process also involved a personal rediscovery.
Pense’s visual work
Three singles preceded the album Everything we need to remember. In 2022, the track The colors are very different introduced the new lineup. The following year it was the turn of Control room. And the last sample was Where we come fromin May this year. Just like these three previous songs, the title track will have a music video.
The clip of the song of the same name was recorded Tendal da LapaIn Saint Paul. Directed by Philip Hervosothe idea was to visually connect with the promotional photos of the album and shed light on the band playing, focusing on the emotions that the music awakens in the members.
“It’s like it’s the first sign of light in the midst of the darkness. That hand that pulls you before you fall off a cliff. Maybe the first step of a new beginning, so this song sums it up. This is the situation, maybe we are to a place where we don’t wait, but we get up, one day at a time, one step at a time. Go up one more step and it will be a big step forward”, underlines Italian.
In addition to the powerful lyrics and melodies, the album also bears strong influences from bands such as Architects, Polaris, The Story So Far, Limp Bizkit AND Deep neck.
