The artist, who constantly fights for her health, was recently hospitalized for surgery to replace the Double J catheter, used to aid drainage of the kidneys. Preta took advantage of the moment to communicate with his followers on social media, thanking them for their constant support and describing the incident in detail.
During a hospital visit to make adjustments to his chemotherapy pump, Preta reported feeling intense pain in his pelvis and right kidney.
After a series of tests, the doctors identified the need to change the ureteral catheter due to an obstruction caused by kidney stones. “I’m fine, no pain now, super supported by doctors, family and friends“, reported the singer, who will have to temporarily suspend chemotherapy sessions to fully recover from the procedure.
In her fight against cancer, Preta Gil underwent several stages of treatment and routine tests. However, the recent incident that occurred during a hospital visit required immediate attention from doctors.
The intense pain, according to Preta, was a sign that led her to contact the healthcare team and the diagnosis showed that the ureteral catheter was blocked, which was hindering kidney function and causing discomfort.
The device was successfully replaced and the singer is now undergoing a recovery process at home. In his message to his followers, Preta expressed gratitude for the continued support and dedicated work of his medical team.
She explained that despite the temporary pause in chemotherapy sessions, she feels well and supported and that the support of family and friends has been essential to her emotional strength during this difficult time.
