Singer Liam Payne was trying to escape from his hotel room when he fell from the third floor of the Casa Sur hotel in the Palermo neighborhood of Buenos Aires, Argentina, to his death. According to the British newspaper Daily Mail, hotel staff knew that the man had threatened to use the balcony to avoid being trapped there, according to a report accessed by the newspaper.
In a video released by hotel security cameras, the former One Direction member is said to have been “convulsing” in the lobby, an hour before his death, due to drug use. However, hotel staff decided to return the unconscious Payne to his room. There is no explanation as to why the artist did not remain in the lobby awaiting medical treatment.
Argentine police arrest three suspects involved in the death
In early November, Argentine authorities arrested three people suspected of involvement in the death of Liam Payne, including the singer’s friend Rogelo “Roger” Noves, who denied any involvement in the artist’s death.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, he talked about what happened. “I am heartbroken by this tragedy and miss my friend every day,” she said. He was accused of abandoning his friend as he was dying and of being an accomplice in supplying drugs to the singer.
