The new song by MC Poze do Rodo ended up among the most discussed topics on social media this Wednesday afternoon (20/7) due to the name: “Metflix”. Netflix also wanted to know what it was, posting a screenshot of the Twitter threads on its timeline.
The song won a clip in which MC Poze do Rodo appears with his girlfriend on the sofa, in front of the TV, watching a streaming service identified with the letter M, stylized as the Netflix logo.
“I’ll miss watching and doing Metflix on the sofa,” says the excerpt from the song that accompanies the image, hinting at the meaning of the pun.
The clip is a breakup story, in which Poze’s wife surprises him by going out at dawn and ordering that the apartment be emptied at the end of the relationship. She shrugs and sings the chorus: “I won’t look for you again / Be sure it’s over here.” And he lets them take all the furniture. Minus the rerun of the 2019 Libertadores Cup, won by Flamengo. And this limit is one of the funniest moments of the production.
Screenplay and direction are by Cesar Gabiru, who had already worked with the rapper (or would he be a trapper?) On “Vida Louca”, seen more than 180 million times on YouTube.
For those who don’t care about the person, MC Poze do Rodo is the owner of the hit “Me Sinto Abençoado”, in collaboration with Filipe Ret, one of the most played songs in “BBB 22”.
